YOGASSAGE: A future new amazing
discipline at school?
Finger miracles, magic touch, muscle energy
techniques, advanced osteopathic stretching techniques, all kinds of massages
(deep tissue massage, Indian massage, shake massage, trigger point massage,
shiatsu massage, Thai massage, biodynamic massage, tantric massage) but also
reflexology and foot massage combined, Swedish massage therapy, deep
sports massage techniques, Reiki, hot stone massage and many other kinds of
massage techniques: all these can be resumed as treatments for the equilibrium
of your body´s energy or techniques to readjust the imbalanced energy of some
specific organ or part of your body or natural and effective techniques of
helping your body restore its energy balance.
One thing is certain, no matter the name, the art and science of massage is a
globally diverse and known phenomenon although still not regulated in many
countries or regulated differently in so many others. To name only a few of the
benefits: relaxation, increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing
muscle toxins, improving blood circulation or decreasing levels of the
cortisol. Searching a little more, we can state today that a confident and
professional massage specialist must be trained in many different theoretical
areas of science but also needs to get the necessary practical training.
Although the ideal and perfect experienced physiotherapist, massage professional
expert or spa therapist should be someone who dedicates years studying many
different areas of science: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Gynecology,
Dermiatry, Podiatry, Psychology, Psychiatry, Surgery, Orthopedics,
Electrotherapy and Hydrotherapy, the simple concept of energy balance of human
body, could be taught early at school, so we all could understand sooner all
the benefits of the equilibrium of our own body and mind along with the
relaxation and stress decreasing that a simple massage can bring. Now, blend
all these massage techniques with yoga and we end up with a new beneficial
discipline: YOGASSAGE.
This combined discipline could one
day in the future be an evidence of human development which unfortunately only
a very few today can benefit.
